The guy on the left is a champion, the guy on the right… clearly he has some type of mouse or beaver syndrome that affects his ability to smile like a normal person when taking a photo! There’s a few things I like in people! First, their ability to laugh at themselves and not be so serious. Self deprecating humour is something I look for, and clearly practice too Second, it’s honesty and integrity. While every single person on earth will say they have...

2013 New Year & New Challenges

2013 New Year & New Challenges

Posted by on Jan 16, 2013 in journal | 0 comments

It’s now the third week of January, so much has already happened in 2013 that I can hardly remember new years eve. Last week I presented another live webinar in my series of Entrepreneur Mentoring Sessions and for 2 hours I spoke mostly about why everyone out there needs to focus more while getting distracted less. It’s a 2 step process, with exponential results when done correctly. When you KNOW what to focus on, you have a good reason not to waste time on...

Bad mobile apps, hair brain schemes and the pursuit of profits

So a few months ago one of my parents comes to me with an idea for an app, after listening to the concept for ten minutes the expression on my face could not hide my true sentiment. While it was a (kinda) good idea, it was a bad commercial decision. In my diplomatic consultants voice I explained the reasons why it probably wont work, then added a bunch of tips why other apps do work… first came that look when people get crushed hearing their idea is actually shit....

Minesh, laurels, and fire!

Had a good chat today with my buddy Minesh Bhindi on skype as we often do… if you overheard the things we say on our “A.G” convos you’d probably think we were narcissistic haters that are out to destroy each others self esteem! But it’s just because we are brutally honest in our friendship, there is no room for ego or slacking off and wasting time by talking and not doing. These friendships are rare, as most people want friends that agree with...

The Scream sells for $120 million

The Scream sells for $120 million

I just spent half the day driving back and forth from the city to the coast. I’m tired and my legs are sore. I decided to sit in front of the tv for once and the first story I saw on CNN is that Edvard Munchs painting ‘the scream’ sold for just under $120,000,000. Yes, one hundred and twenty millions dollars. The funny thing is that this isn’t even the painting, it’s a pastel sketch that he did of the actual painting which lives in Norway. So...

Surf Survival Guide Week 3

Finally, we hit the half way point in my 5 week surf training regime! This part of the surf survival guide puts focus on resistance, because when the body constantly endures resistance it will build strength in the body and confidence in the mind. SURF SURVIVAL GUIDE LESSON #6… practice getting pounded The reason for making my training more difficult at this point, is because silent laps in a heated indoor pool doesn’t come close to the type of forces and stress...

Surf Survival Guide Week 2

My underwater training is going well now that I’m into the 2nd week. I can swim further underwater and also hold my breath for longer. Oxygen in my lungs plays a major part of surf survival, but there is also another element which can really help me stay underwater for longer. SURF SURVIVAL GUIDE LESSON #4… Time is relative! I’ve tried a bunch of different ways to distract my mind or meditate underwater to hold my breath longer, to be honest it never...

Surf Survival Guide

Our next Bali trip to catch waves around Kuta and Uluwatu is coming up, about 4 weeks or less now till we’re all on a plane heading over. Even though this holiday is mostly about drinking beer, I want to get the most out of my surfing time and I’ve gone to the effort of doing 5 weeks of underwater training. So welcome to my Surf Survival Guide! I live in the city, an hour from the beach, so the 25m indoor pool at my local fitness first gym is my best option for...

Well it’s been a while since I last blogged, and holy cow a lot has happened since my last post! I rebuilt and rebranded to my new facebook marketing program (social explode), which I’m happy to say is getting even better results than my previous course. Now looking back, over what is round about the 3 year mark of me being in the IM (Internet Marketing) Industry. What I’ve learned is quite interesting, as I’ve come full circle in more ways than...

Test driving Corvettes in LA

Test driving Corvettes in LA

This part of my recent trip was definitely cool! My cousin suggested we go to an invitational race track day to drive the Corvettes. I’d never driven one so I said why not. Off we drove south almost to San Diego to a track that GM had provided over 100 cars for. Everything from SUVs to Monster Utes to Camaros and Corvettes. To drive the fast cars, you had to pass the SUV course in a large 4WD… I figured we take one of those big F250 utes that look 20 feet...
